Notice to applicants

Use of data
By submitting their personal data to Panalpina, applicants agree that said data may be stored and processed by Panalpina exclusively in connection with a potential employment relationship and may, where appropriate, be forwarded to another member of the Panalpina Group, placed in an application pool and passed on to selected line managers.

Exclusion of liability

In the case of contact or communication via electronic means, the data in question will be transmitted via a publicly accessible network and may consequently be viewed across national boundaries and in countries where data protection legislation is less stringent than in Switzerland. Even when the individual data packets are encrypted, the names of the sender and recipient are not. Panalpina and other Panalpina Group companies accept no liability whatsoever, should the applicant suffer loss as a result of his/her personal data being transmitted via the Internet.

Handling of data in the event of an unsuccessful application
In the event that their application is unsuccessful, applicants authorize Panalpina and its divisions and subsidiaries to retain their personal data for a period of six months from the date of rejection. The data concerned will subsequently be rendered anonymous, though applicants will not be notified separately of this fact.

Work permits
Applicants should be aware that a work permit is required in most countries.
In case of applications for positions in Switzerland, candidates with neither a Swiss passport nor a C permit require a work and residence permit. In principle, EU citizens do not require a work permit; however, their employer (Panalpina) must obtain an approval of residence from the authorities.
